Who wants to be a millionaire ...?

The Bank of Ireland lodgement ATM outside its Kilcullen premises tried to lodge €18.8m to my account this morning, writes Brian Byrne.

It had mis-scanned the cheque I was lodging, which needless to say had a real value substantially less than that figure.

Fortunately (or not) I noticed before hitting the 'Agree with Amount' button.

Sometimes it's hard to read that screen if the sun is shining on it. I wonder how long I would have remained the equivalent of a National Lottery winner if I hadn't noticed?
